What Is MELT?
The MELT Method® is a science-backed self-care technique designed to help you stay active, reduce pain, and feel better in your body. Developed by Sue Hitzmann, it uses specially designed hand and foot treatment balls and a soft roller—along with your own body and breath—to calm the nervous system, improve control, and restore balance.
At its core, MELT works by rehydrating your connective tissue—known as fascia. With gentle, targeted techniques, it helps restore fascia’s supportive, supple qualities while reducing tension and compression that can lead to discomfort and misalignment.
